Holiday Tour at Maxwell Hall (Free Entry)

December 3rd and 4th @ 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

The annual Charles County Holiday Tour tour is comprised of tours of local historic homes, churches, and cultural venues throughout the county. We will be celebrating the holiday at historic Maxwell Hall, within the beautiful unspoiled lands of Maxwell Hall Park.

Our friends at the Hughesville Garden Club will join us to decorate Maxwell Hall for this year’s Charles County Holiday Trail. The Holiday Trail features historic locations throughout the county, each decorated with a unique and exciting theme. The theme this year at Maxwell Hall will be “A Vintage Christmas”. Come and take a self-guided tour of Maxwell Hall, vote for your favorite room, and learn more about Historic Maxwell Hall.

Admission is free and open to the public.

This event will take place at Maxwell Hall, located at:

Join us after dark under the full moon at Maxwell Hall for a trip around the fields and woods, where Mr. Callahan will teach us all about barred, screech, and great horned owls and call them in with his famous owl calling skills. This is a great opportunity to try to hear and track native owls up close in their natural environment.
